This visa allows a migrant to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. This is for applicants whose occupation is in the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and also can achieve 60 or more points. They do not need to be sponsored by the State/Territory or Family Members.
For applying this visa applicant need to submit an expression of interest and then be invited through Skill Select to apply. With this visa, you and your family members who have also been granted this visa can:

• Study, work & live in Australia indefinitely.
• Can avail Medicare, Australia’s scheme for health-related care and expenses.
• Get an Australian citizenship (if you are eligible).
• Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence.

The Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) is a permanent residence visa for point-test skilled workers who want to work and live in Australia after being nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency.

For the grant of this visa, applicant must:

• Have a relevant occupation.
• Have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation.
• Have achieved the score specified in your letter of invitation based on the factors in the points test.
• Be nominated by a state or territory government agency.
• Age should not be more than 45 years at time of invitation.
• Have Proficient English.
• Be invited to apply.
